International Journal of Diabetes in Developing Countries is the official peer-reviewed journal of Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India (RSSDI)commanding a membership of over 8700 at present with more than 8500 print copies being published per issue apart from being hosted online by publishers Springer Nature. The primary goal of the journal is to serve as an important, all-encompassing resource and reference guide for its readers consisting of clinicians, research workers, paramedical personnel, nutritionists and health care personnel working in the field of diabetes, mainly from the developing world. The journal receives original research articles, systematic reviews with meta-analysis, consensus and guidelines, short articles focusing on the epidemiology, etiopathogenesis, psychosocial aspects, complications and emergencies, community health, new technology/quality improvement strategies, novel therapeutic modalities, pharmacoeconomics, management as part of its clinical and basic science research spectrum and scope in the arena of diabetes. DESCRIPTION: The journal founded by Prof. Hemraj Chandalia and Late Prof. MMS Ahuja is in its 41st year of publication with quarterly issues and a RSSDI conference abstract supplement published annually. Submissions to the journal are received from across developing countries such as India , Bangladesh, Pakistan, West Africa, Iran, Turkey. The journal also receives submissions from Japan, Brazil, Nepal, Sri Lanka and China. The reviewers are selected from both developed and developing countries using a wide range of reviewer selection tools to ensure a more holistic and in depth approach to the peer review process. The preproduction and production workflow of the journal is managed through the Editorial Manager software that is customized as per the editorial requirements of the journal, wherever possible. The journal is funded by the RSSDI Society. .
